Description
The Mission was named San Cayetano de Tumacori (when it was on the other side of the river). In 1753, the mission was moved to it's current location and renamed San Jose de Tumacori. The main chamber has a nave, altar and remains of a choir loft, with links to smaller rooms including a baptistry, sacristy and sanctuary. At the alter there stands this cross, adorned with flowers and a picture of Christ.

voted favorite. A beautiful photograph, I love this old Mission and visit it often when in Tucson.

Perhaps this takes me back to my days of a floral designer. I love everything about this piece. The light wash of pastel colors in the background with all the texture is perfect. The array of colored flowers brings everything together. The understated photograph of Christ in the center of the cross is perfect. This is my pick of the day.
