Devil's Slide is an unusual geological formation located in northern Utah's Weber Canyon, near the community of Croydon in Morgan County, Utah. In 1904 a mountain of limestone was discovered by Aman Moore. The Crofutts New Overland Tourist Guide, 1878 describes the rock monument as "This slide or two serrated rocks is composed of two ridges of granite rock reaching from the river nearly to the summit of a sloping grass-clad mountain. They are from 50 to 200 feet high, narrow slabs, standing on edge as though forced out of the mountainside. The two ridges run parallel with each other, about ten feet apart, the space between being covered with grass, wild flowers, and clinging vines.

Donna, this is such an unusual piece of created by nature so intriguing. Very well captured by you. Fantastic details and love the angle you were able to take this formation at. It actually looks like something you would see in a amusement park as a big slide looking like rocks on the outside. Great foreground capture and background with a beautiful view of the sky looking up. Great details in the rocks and the various colored rocks. Fantastic and very interesting photo, voted FB and Google promoted and chosen as Pay It Forward in the group, Let All Participate

Thanks Leona and thanks Rhonda. It's a very strange rock formation in the middle of a bunch of rolling hills. Locals say it is where the devils butt hit the ground when God cast him out of heaven on his way to hell.
